Pharmacy Technician Compensation

• The pay for this position is $25.00 per hour

• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Pharmacy Technician Highlights

• This position is a 9-month contract assignment with no possibility of extension or conversion

• The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5 PM or 9:30 AM–6 PM EST

• No overtime required

• On-site in Shelby Township, MI

Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities

• Work with pharmacists to accurately prepare prescription orders in a timely manner

• Interact with various departments to ensure timely dispensing of prescriptions

• Locate correct medication and strength to complete picking of orders

• Prepare, count, label, and package pharmaceuticals for pharmacist approval

• Maintain and update inventory, including removing expired or discontinued medications

• Handle doctor outreach to clarify prescriptions or obtain new prescriptions on behalf of patients

• Update patients periodically on prescription status

• Send “no go” faxes to providers when unable to fill medications

• Complete 8 referrals per hour (64 per day)

• Perform data entry throughout the day

• Comply with safety, quality assurance, legal, and regulatory requirements

Pharmacy Technician Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

• State Pharmacy Technician License required upon hire

• 2–4 years of pharmacy experience (retail or home infusion preferred)

• Strong data entry skills

• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days (no upcoming PTO at the time of hire)

Pharmacy Technician Preferred Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)

• Familiarity with medications for chronic/debilitating illnesses
