Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade with occupational therapy services from late August through mid-December. This leave coverage position is perfect for either one full-time therapist or two part-time therapists looking to make a tangible impact during the 2024 fall semester.

Located near Ypsilanti, MI, you'll work collaboratively within a dedicated educational environment, tailoring interventions to help students achieve their learning and developmental goals. The ideal candidate is adaptable, enthusiastic about pediatric settings, and driven by the chance to provide meaningful educational support.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Michigan Occupational Therapy license required
  • Experience or strong interest working in K-12 school settings
  • Knowledge of IEP documentation and school-based therapy best practices
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and other related service staff
  • Strong organizational skills and experience managing diverse caseloads

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in K-12th grade as outlined in IEPs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student needs in academic and functional settings
  • Document progress on goals, maintain all required records, and participate in IEP meetings as necessary
  • Offer consultative services to school staff to support student engagement and participation
