Summary of Position:

The incumbent will provide high level support to the ECLC Director, Asst. Director, other administrative staff, Grantee and the Policy Council of Head Start/Early Head Start of ECLC. Support includes advanced clerical tasks, document production, creation and distribution and purchasing. Must have excellent customer service, and a critical thinker. Oversee the organization's main office reception area. In addition, this position is classified as highly confidential and involves organization/coordination of multiple tasks.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or Certificate in Office Administration preferred, or closely related degree.
  • Bilingual English and Keres preferred.
  • Maintain professional & courteous attitude under stress of work demands.
  • Extended working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
  • Must satisfactorily pass a new hire drug screening, background check, and MVR check.
  • Must hold a valid New Mexico driver's license to meet Santo Domingo Pueblo's liability insurance requirements and maintain eligibility for insurance.

Skills, Knowledge, Adaptabilities:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-task environment.
  • Ability to operate a wide variety of office equipment, copier, fax, laminating machine, voice mail, poster machine, etc.
  • Strong computer skills using PC's and variety of software applications, EXCEL, word processing, database & e-mail.
  • Strong knowledge of Head Start administrative functions is highly desirable
  • Thorough knowledge of general office/administrative practices generally gained through three years of progressive administrative experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Effective communication skills are both written and verbal.
  • Excellent editing, note taking and keyboard skills (70 WPM)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to visually scan immediate work environment.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work well with others and with a consistent positive attitude and approach.
