Job Title: Warehouse Associate – Receiving, Picking, and Material Handling

Job Description

This role focuses on receiving, storing, and picking parts in a clean, highly organized, and technology-driven warehouse environment. You will ensure accurate inventory handling, support production through timely order fulfillment, and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify incoming parts from vendors and internal facilities, check for accuracy, update the computer system, and place items in the correct warehouse locations.
  • Pick part orders from both low and high rack locations using an RF scanner and load completed orders onto production carts for downstream operations.
  • Support finished goods and parts maintenance by participating in cycle counting programs, consolidating bin and storage space, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and inventory areas.
  • Become cross-trained within the department and assist in other warehouse or production-related departments as business needs require.
  • Identify potential or recurring errors in processes, communicate issues appropriately, and verify your own work and that of other associates to ensure customer expectations are consistently met.
  • Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the company handbook and comply with departmental rules and regulations, including safety guidelines and respect for fellow employees.
  • Operate and maintain warehouse equipment according to schedule, promptly report any equipment issues to supervision, and keep work areas neat, safe, and well-organized.
  • Demonstrate accountability by taking responsibility for your actions and work performed, maintaining a positive attitude, and contributing effectively to a team-oriented environment.
  • Participate in company-sponsored activities such as suggestion programs, quality training sessions, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform packing, shipping, and receiving tasks as needed, including preparing orders for shipment and handling materials efficiently and safely.
  • Operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload materials, adhering to safety standards and equipment operating procedures.
  • Accept additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support overall warehouse and production operations.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of experience operating a sit-down or stand-up forklift in a warehouse or similar environment.
  • Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving processes, including checking incoming materials and preparing outgoing orders.
  • Proficiency in picking and packing orders in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to use an RF scanner for order picking and inventory transactions.
  • Experience with general material handling, including loading, unloading, and staging products.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, company policies, and safety procedures consistently.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in inventory and order fulfillment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Willingness to accept responsibility for work performed and to support continuous improvement efforts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience in inventory control activities such as cycle counting and bin or space consolidation.
  • Comfort working in a highly organized, automated, and technology-driven warehouse setting.
  • Ability to become cross-trained across multiple warehouse or production functions.
  • Interest in developing new skills such as soldering, quality control, or chain operation through on-site training and certification.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and communicate process errors or inefficiencies.
  • Reliability in attendance and consistent effort, which are key factors for advancement opportunities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
