Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful difference for students in the upcoming 2026-2027 school year by providing specialized instruction and support as a Special Education professional. Several contract opportunities are available to work onsite within a collaborative and student-centered environment, supporting a variety of elementary and middle school learners. Assignments are located in the Beaufort and Hilton Head Island areas, with roles spanning early childhood, elementary, and middle school grade levels—ranging from intensive support to supplemental and hybrid service models.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Demonstrated experience or strong familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Ability to adjust instructional strategies to support diverse learning needs, including ASD and multi-categorical disabilities
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and support staff
- Experience working in school-based settings is preferred, but not required
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction to students with varying support needs
- Develop and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate regularly with both general and special education staff
- Provide ongoing assessment, progress monitoring, and data-driven instruction
- Encourage student independence while utilizing evidence-based interventions
- Support and engage with families to promote student growth and success
- Maintain accurate records and compliance with all relevant regulations
