Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC)
Location: New Orleans, LA Metro Area Schools
Job Type: Full-Time (2025-2026 School-Year Schedule)
Compensation: $45$55 per hour, based on experience Position Summary:
Public schools across the New Orleans, LA Metro Area are seeking an experienced and credentialed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) to support students' communication development across PreK12th grade. This role is ideal for a collaborative, student-centered clinician who thrives in school-based environments and is committed to improving educational outcomes through high-quality speech and language services.Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations in accordance with federal and state guidelines
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for eligible students
  • Provide direct therapy services (individual and group) aligned with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including progress reports, evaluation results, and Medicaid billing (if applicable)
  • Participate in IEP meetings and serve as a communication expert for school teams
  • Provide training or guidance to staff and families on speech/language strategies
  • Stay current with best practices and participate in ongoing professional development

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
  • Active Louisiana SLP License (or eligibility to obtain) through the Louisiana Board of Examiners for SLPs and Audiologists
  • School-based experience preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and therapy best practices in educational settings
