This is an installation and repair Elevator Mechanic position.

You must have prior experience with elevator repair to be considered for this position.

Job Responsibilities

Installing home elevators according to documented, 9-Stage Process for Installation.
• Elevators to be installed and inspection ready at completion.
• Complete installation of elevators at or below Ideal Hours.
Elevator installations must be completed with quality.
• Rails and jack must be plumb within 1/8” top to bottom.
• All wiring must be accurate and tidy.
• Cab must be built plumb and square.
The Installation of the elevator must follow all safety guidelines with 0 (Zero) OSHA Recordables.
• All PPE worn throughout installation.
Elevator installation complete and inspection ready.
• No install work for adjuster to complete elevator.
• Clean pit, cartop, and remove any trash from job site.
• Inspection only, to be performed by adjuster.
Service home and commercial elevators as needed.
Mechanics must be actively involved in or have completed C.E.T. Program.

SKILLS
1. Have a general knowledge of power and hand tools
2. Able to read a tape measure
3. Understanding the use of PPE and all safety rules
4. Use of safety documents, MSDS
5. Able to drive a vehicle and pull a trailer is a plus (if needed)
6. Ability to read elevator shop drawings and wiring diagrams
7. Must have dependable transportation
8. Mechanically inclined and able to learn quickly
9. Understand what plumb is. Level and square are.
