Role: Senior Staff Auditor
Type: Contract (1 year)
Pay: $40 – $50 / hr
Location: Washington DC
In office 3x a week

Our client is seeking an Senior Internal Audit on a contractual basis, The purpose of the Senior Auditor position is to assist with planning, execution, communication, and reporting of all internal audit activities associate
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field REQUIRED
- 5 – 7 years of experience Internal audit into Risk Financial Statement Risk and compliance exposure
- Financial statement audit experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Able to start immediately (not in a permeant position)
Job Description:
- Plan and execute operational, compliance, and financial audits in accordance with IIA standards
- Develop and perform audit testing procedures based on organizational risk
- Evaluate internal controls and identify deficiencies or process improvement opportunities
- Prepare clear audit documentation, reports, and recommendations
- Present audit findings to management and stakeholders
- Maintain strong professional relationships across departments
- Support investigations, strategic initiatives, and special audit projects
- Provide guidance and preliminary review support to junior auditors when applicable
