iNetMed is looking to fill one full-time Front Office Associate who is a team player and can provide exceptional customer service to patients and doctors. Competitive salary based on experience.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
A front office position at a psychiatric clinic is essential for delivering efficient and compassionate support to both patients and healthcare providers. This role encompasses various administrative duties to ensure smooth clinic operations. Key responsibilities include greeting and checking in patients, verifying insurance information, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records. Additionally, front office staff may handle phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct patients to the appropriate healthcare professional.
In addition to these general administrative tasks, this position requires a high level of empathy, as patients may be dealing with sensitive mental health issues. The front office staff must ensure that patients feel welcomed and supported in a calm, respectful, and confidential environment. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential, as staff are responsible for managing appointment schedules, maintaining medical records, and processing billing information accurately.
A front office position in a psychiatric clinic may require prior experience in customer service or medical administration and mental health terminology and processes. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and confidentiality regulations (HIPAA) is often necessary. This role can offer meaningful work in a healthcare setting, with opportunities for personal growth while positively impacting patients' experiences.
Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in writing, speaking, reading, and comprehending English. *Ability to speak Spanish.
Exhibits a strong work ethic and is detailed oriented
Experience with electronic health records.
Ability to prioritize work and complete tasks in a timely fashion.
Exceptional social skills
Ability to assist in a variety of common office duties
Education and Experience:
High School Graduate
CPR certified at hire, or with 6 months
ECG certified beneficial
