Job Summary
Metro’s Dump Truck Drivers are self starters who are driven by their safety oriented mindsets. They don’t shy away from a challenge and are team oriented as they assist with concrete and other field work when not driving.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive and operate heavy machinery, like the company’s dump truck, in order to haul gravel, dirt, concrete and other materials
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner
- Preform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Secure all loads with proper safety techniques and equipment
- Must be willing to assist in field work when not driving including but not limited to concrete placement, and concrete finishing
- Communicate clearly with team and team leaders to ensure safety, best use of time, and in order to stay on schedule
- Able to work through all weather conditions
- Operate other heavy machinery on an as needed basis including but not limited to skid steers, mini excavators, etc
- Ability to travel during the week for work, but will be home on the weekends
- Must maintain a class A CDL and a clean MVR
Required Qualifications
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience:
- we are open to training on all equipment
- Licenses:
- Must possess obtain and maintain a Class A CDL and a clean MVR
