Looking for experienced Traffic Control Supervisor for the Coeur d' Alene, ID / Spokane WA area. Pay is depending on experience and work history.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision of Work Crews: Traffic control supervisors plan, schedule, and supervise work crews involved in the installation and maintenance of traffic signs, signals, and other control devices. They ensure that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Traffic Management: They oversee traffic operations during road and highway construction projects, employing traffic control devices to divert pedestrians and drivers as necessary. This includes monitoring the repair of roads and ensuring that work zones are safe.
- Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations is a critical duty. Traffic control supervisors provide safety training, investigate accidents, and enforce safety protocols on job sites.
- Coordination with Other Departments: They coordinate with various internal and external departments to manage safety issues related to traffic, weather, or special events. This includes establishing safety zones and managing incidents effectively.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Supervisors compile daily logs, maintain records of traffic control devices, and prepare reports on traffic conditions and incidents. This documentation is essential for evaluating traffic management effectiveness.
- Emergency Response: In emergency situations, traffic control supervisors respond quickly to coordinate resources and ensure public safety. They manage traffic flow during incidents and assist stranded motorists as needed.
Most jobs are local in the North Idaho /Eastern Washington region. Some regional travel may be required dependent on projects.
