TITLE: Medical Records Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Director, Intake

EMPLOYMENT STATUS:Temp to Hire

JOB SUMMARY:

Monitors and Routes all documents into the Specialty Pharmacy Business Operating and Electronic Document Management systems. Coordinates communication between Pharmacy, Nursing and Revenue Cycle Management Teams.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Education:
    1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  1. Experience
    1. Familiar with all medical documents
    2. Familiar with communications from insurance companies
    3. Excellent written and verbal communication skill, including telephone etiquette.
    4. Excellent organizational skills.
    5. Computer skills to include word and excel.
  1. Fulltime Employment:

    1. 40hrs per week. Work week is Monday thru Friday forapprox 2 mths
    2. Schedule determined by supervisor.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Monitors incoming electronic and written documents.
  1. Identifies documents, file and route into appropriate workflow.
  1. Coordinates scanning and mail outs for the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Teams.
  1. Monitor the return and follow up of Patient RCM forms, AOB, ABN, Release of Private Health Information, etc.
  1. Assists with patient registration into our electronic medical records system.
  1. Pulling of documentation for payer audits.
  1. Assists with annual payer credentialing requests.
  1. Participate in Telephone Operator Answering Rotation.
  1. Assist with Front Office clerical tasks as directed.
  1. Any function as directed by Director, Intake.
