TITLE: Medical Records Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Director, Intake
EMPLOYMENT STATUS:Temp to Hire
JOB SUMMARY:
Monitors and Routes all documents into the Specialty Pharmacy Business Operating and Electronic Document Management systems. Coordinates communication between Pharmacy, Nursing and Revenue Cycle Management Teams.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience
- Familiar with all medical documents
- Familiar with communications from insurance companies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill, including telephone etiquette.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Computer skills to include word and excel.
- Fulltime Employment:
- 40hrs per week. Work week is Monday thru Friday forapprox 2 mths
- Schedule determined by supervisor.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitors incoming electronic and written documents.
- Identifies documents, file and route into appropriate workflow.
- Coordinates scanning and mail outs for the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Teams.
- Monitor the return and follow up of Patient RCM forms, AOB, ABN, Release of Private Health Information, etc.
- Assists with patient registration into our electronic medical records system.
- Pulling of documentation for payer audits.
- Assists with annual payer credentialing requests.
- Participate in Telephone Operator Answering Rotation.
- Assist with Front Office clerical tasks as directed.
- Any function as directed by Director, Intake.
