Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a travel assignment supporting the Extended School Year (ESY) program at a specialized high school setting in Ludlow, MA. The role focuses on providing speech-language services to students enrolled in the Compass High Program at Ludlow High School. This unique program serves high school students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences, offering a personalized and supportive educational environment designed to enhance skills for independence.

Assignment Details:

  • Location: Ludlow, MA (Client main office is in West Springfield, but services are delivered in Ludlow)
  • Duration: July 6, 2026, to August 7, 2026, with potential consideration for the 2026/2027 school year based on performance
  • Hours: 15-20 hours per week, spread over 2-3 days
  • Caseload: High school students primarily requiring AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) services experience, though experience with AAC evaluations is not mandatory

Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure for Speech-Language Pathologists
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Experience working with high school students with ASD or other learning differences
  • Familiarity with AAC services and strategies
  • Ability to work in specialized educational settings with personalized student support

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language services tailored to the individualized needs of students in the Compass High Program
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate communication supports within educational plans
  • Monitor and document student progress and adapt interventions accordingly
  • Support students development of communication skills that foster independence
