Job Summary We at GVSO are seeking a dependable, full time Kennel/Technician Assistant to become a valuable member of our medical team. This position can be a great stepping stone for someone looking to get started in the veterinary field! This position is specifically for a 3 day (T, W, TH) 12 hour shift and a short 3-4 hour shift on Fridays. NO Mondays OR weekends!! Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Prior animal care experience required</li>
<li>Animal restraint experience preferred</li>
<li>Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and able to assist in moving dogs &gt;50 pounds</li>
<li>Must be comfortable standing, walking and being active for most of the day</li>
<li>Must be willing to perform cleaning duties</li>
<li>Must be a team player but able to work individually</li>
</ul>
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Cleaning and sanitizing cages and indoor runs&nbsp;</li>
<li>Walking pets prior to surgery</li>
<li>Caring for patients and keeping them clean and dry&nbsp;</li>
<li>Cleaning and maintaining hospital</li>
<li>Doing laundry and restocking supplies</li>
<li>Assisting technicians daily</li>
<li>Animal handling and restraint</li>
</ul>
Hours:Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8am- 8pmFriday 8am - 12 pm Pay: $15-$18
