We work 4-10 hour days (Monday-Thursday); we offer, Day shift (5am-3pm) and Afternoon shift (3pm-1am).

About the Role:

The CNC Machinist plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process by operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts and components. This position requires a deep understanding of technical drawings and specifications to ensure that products meet exacting standards. The machinist will be responsible for setting up, programming, and monitoring CNC machines, ensuring optimal performance and quality output. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount, as the machinist will work with various materials and complex machinery. Ultimately, the success of this role contributes significantly to the overall efficiency and productivity of the manufacturing operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a CNC machinist or similar role.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming languages and machining tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in machining technology or a related field.
  • Experience with multi-axis CNC machines.
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM software.
  • Certification from a recognized machining program.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines according to specifications and production schedules.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine machining operations.
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and resolve any production issues.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include proficiency in operating CNC machines and a strong understanding of technical drawings, which are essential for producing high-quality parts. Attention to detail is critical, as the machinist must ensure that all specifications are met accurately. Problem-solving skills are utilized daily to troubleshoot machine issues and optimize production processes. Familiarity with safety protocols is necessary to maintain a safe working environment while handling complex machinery. Preferred skills, such as knowledge of CAD/CAM software, enhance the machinist's ability to streamline operations and improve efficiency.


Workdays are Monday - Thursday, 10 hours daily, shifts are 5a-3p and 3p-1a.
Pay is bi-weekly.
