JOB TITLE: Lead Maintenance Tech


Reports To: Operations Manager


About the Role:
Synergy Prototype Stamping is looking for a hands-on, high-initiative Maintenance Technician who can also drive our safety efforts. This is not a wait for something to break roleour shop has multiple hydraulic and mechanical presses ready for upgrades, modernizations, and safety improvements. If you enjoy improving machines, building systems, and making a real impact on plant safety and reliability, this is the position for you.
What Youll Do:
Maintenance & Machine Repair

  • Perform, document, and manage preventive maintenance on all machines.
  • Conduct and record weekly machine inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
  • Work with PLC controls and assist in upgrading machinery with new control systems and safety equipment.
  • Coordinate and oversee 3rd-party service providers when outside repairs are needed.
  • Order maintenance consumables and ensure tools/parts are available when needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area across the shop.

Safety Management

  • Support and enforce all company safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and assist in safety planning and documentation.
  • Participate in safety audits and improvements across the facility.
  • Promote a safety-first culture through daily actions and communication.

  • Deep understanding of hydraulic and mechanical presses.
  • Experience with mechanical repair, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical troubleshooting, and PLCs.
  • Safety management experience is a big plus.
