We are seeking an experienced and self-driven Human Resources Manager to join a well-established, service-focused organization. This role will serve as a trusted HR partner to the Human Resources Director, managing HR operations independently, while ensuring compliance in a highly regulated environment. The position offers career growth and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact the organization and it’s customers. This role is on-site in Northwest New Jersey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day HR operations, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and reporting through the HRIS.
- Oversee payroll and benefits administration when needed.
- Support performance management, investigations, disciplinary processes, and compliance initiatives.
- Drive employee recognition programs, training initiatives, and talent development.
- Partner with managers to assess staffing needs and identify qualified candidates.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of HR experience required, preferably with exposure to highly regulated industries.
- Management experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong technology skills; experience with HRIS and reporting tools (UKG preferred).
- Knowledge of labor laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- SHRM-CP certification is desired, or the ability to attain within first year.
- Independent, proactive, and trusted partner mindset.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary: $75,000–$85,000
