Our client is a leading, privately held real estate investment firm with 30+ years of experience delivering top-tier, risk-adjusted returns in major U.S. innovation markets. They manage ~$4.3B in assets across office, data centers, life sciences/lab, infill logistics, and specialized R&D properties in high-growth hubs like Silicon Valley, Seattle, Austin, Boston, Northern Virginia, and more. Our tenants include global leaders such as Apple, AWS, Disney, Equinix, Samsung, and Wells Fargo.
The firm is seeking a talented Accountant II to join their growing accounting team. As a contributor, you'll handle complex accounting for commericadl properties, drive technical accuracy, and support in delivering timely, high-quality financial reporting.
What You'll Do:
- Monthly GAAP and tax-basis closes for sophisticated property, fund, and partnership structures
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, estimates, and close packages
- Prepare and analyze internal financial reports, variance explanations, and management insights
- Serve as primary point of contact for assigned audits, coordinate directly with external auditors
- Research and apply U.S. GAAP to complex/non-routine transactions, support adoption of new standards and firm policies
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting procedure documentation
- Mentor and coach junior accountants; contribute to process improvements for greater efficiency and scalability
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Property Management, Lease Administration, Treasury, and Investor Relations
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience (real estate, fund, or partnership accounting strongly preferred)
- Public accounting background a plus
- Solid working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities
- Proven ability to review work, provide constructive feedback, and mentor other

Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary: $110,000 – $130,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Annual bonus 25% + cash equity
