What you will do as the Regional Staffing Manager:
The Regional Staffing Manager at CDL Nuclear Technologies is responsible for overseeing the clinical staffing needs of CDL Nuclear Technologies. They will manage day to day functions of all clinical staff in CDL Nuclear Technologies PET/CT to include but not limited to recruiting, retention, training programs, skill assessments, scheduling, communication, departmental rounding, staff meetings, operational efficiency, and continuing education of all clinical staff. Personnel management includes assisting with the hiring of additional clinical personnel, orientation of new employees, overseeing staff schedules, and working with upper management in the preparation and completion of performance appraisals. Cultivate a positive relationship with the referral community within a given territory by bringing an understanding and respect for all Nuclear Medicine communities. The Regional Staffing Manager is accountable for setting long-term goals and facilitating the growth of CDL’s clinical departments in conjunction with ongoing client needs. The Staffing Manager will collaborate at all levels of personnel procurement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work under the National Staffing Director and Regional Directors of Operations PET/CT on regional staffing objectives.
- Directly interface with the Regional Directors of Operations and Senior Recruiter to identify, target, facilitate, and acquire top-notch personnel to fill critical roles throughout CDL Companies Clinical Divisions.
- Manage the schedules of all East Region CDL clinical staff, including Certified Nuclear Medical Technologists, Cardiac Stress Technicians, Paramedics and RNs.
- Collaborate weekly with the National Staffing Director, Directors of Operations, and Senior Recruiter to provide updates on the current state of staffing and provider needs.
- Outline training plans for each service and staff, and provide monthly updates to National Staffing Director PET/CT.
- As directed, draft policy provisions and provide interpretation of functions or department policies. Identifies the need for and draft or define procedures/protocols in collaboration with operational input, goals, and objectives; modify procedures/protocols as necessary.
- Monitor the quality and quantity of workflow to ensure work is completed. Initiates or recommends personnel actions such as hires, fires, disciplines, etc. Ensures the timely completion of annual performance reviews in coordination with the VP of HR.
- Assist in the development of process improvement matrices and complete reports for all managed areas.
- Coordinate training sessions: Develop training agenda, training materials, and accountability sign-in sheets for all sessions.
- Monthly review of clinical performance, training needs, individual and team goal progression, individual morale and self-care opportunities.
- Set clinical staff expectations and goal manage disciplinary needs in a timely manner, while upholding CDL’s “Best Appropriate Care” Values.
- Administer and coordinate the Nuclear Medicine internship programs; and serve as the primary contact.
- Ensure client personnel follow ALARA principles.
- Ensure on-going operations of the Cardiac PET laboratory runs efficiently and all staff are comfortable with all processes.
- Assist in ensuring the objectives of patient care, personnel and equipment management, quality assurance, in-service education, new client start-up, customer satisfaction and radiation safety are met.
- Provide routine updates on progress and issues to customer, management, and operations personnel, such updates shall be available weekly, monthly, and as requested.
- Ensure on-going training for clinical and technical advancements and/or for new client employees is conducted.
- Visit client facilities when needed to ensure Clinical staff, Technologists, and Physicians overall satisfaction is being maintained.
- Maintain CDL’s business and patient confidentiality.
- Diligently apply the CDL Company Objectives of “Best Appropriate Patient Care”.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have an associate degree in Nuclear Medicine, bachelor’s preferred.
- Must be board certified by the NMTCB and/or ARRT.
- Must have a minimum of four years of experience in Nuclear Cardiology/PET management and staffing.
- Must have demonstrated creativity in improving work routines and in completing assigned projects.
- Must possess expert communication, human relations, organizational and clinical/technical Nuclear Cardiac training skills to work effectively and compatibly to complete all tasks required.
- Must possess the professionalism and poise to deal with conflict and emergencies and adaptability to deal with change as it occurs.
- Willingness to travel as often as necessary to sites to meet new customers, understand the scope of each project, and effectively oversee all clinical and technical aspects of each.
