QA/QC Calibration Tech needed for a critical role that ensures quality and compliance of incoming parts used in the assembly of components needed in the power industry. New cutting edge technology, specialized products and a unique opportunity.
The position requires inspection using precision measurement tools, documentation of non-conformances, and collaboration across departments to support continuous improvement and quality assurance. Proficient in the use of measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines and other precision tools is a MUST.
▪ Inspect incoming parts and materials to verify conformance to engineering drawings and specifications using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
▪ Document and report non-conformances in accordance with internal procedures.
▪ Initiate and track Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) as needed.
▪ Coordinate with the Purchasing team to manage the return of defective materials and
ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
▪ Adhere to ISO 9001 quality management procedures and maintain accurate inspection records.
▪ Assist in internal audits and support audit readiness efforts.
▪ Ensure accurate completion of SAP transactions to maintain reliable inventory records.
▪ Support for Supplier Quality Improvement: Assist in the management and improvement
of supplier quality standards. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality requirements
are understood and met and follow up with documented corrective actions when these
requirements are not met.
▪ Supporting Internal Quality Improvement Projects: Work closely with the quality
manager to support projects aimed at improving product quality and operational efficiency.
▪ Safely operate the necessary equipment to carry out assigned tasks.
▪ Take ownership of personal development.
▪ Support other departments as needed.
Position Requirements
▪ High School Diploma or GED required, prefer 2-year technical degree, other
combinations may be considered.
▪ 1-2 or more years of experience with demonstrated proficiency in a manufacturing
environment.
▪ Proficient in the use of measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers,
coordinate measuring machines, and other precision tools.
▪ Ability to function in a team environment.
▪ SAP and Microsoft office product experience preferred.
▪ Able to interpret engineering drawings related to manufacturing requirements.
▪ Basic math skills required, application of statistical control methods preferred.
▪ Effectively communicate problems and work with support groups to resolve.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
