Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

ProCare Therapy is working with a local school district to hire a qualified Teacher for the Visually Impaired to support students in a dynamic educational environment located in Illinois.
Those employed for the available positions will serve as a contract worker. All pay, benefits, human resources claims, etc. will be overseen by the ProCare Therapy support staff.Job Specifics:
- Full-Time Employment
- 2025-2026 School Year
- Monday-Friday; normal school hours
- Working with a Caseload ages 3-22 years old
- Self-Contained Classroom Setting
Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education, with an emphasis on visual impairment preferred.
- Valid teaching certification in visual impairment, or eligibility for one.
- Strong understanding of instructional strategies and tools for students with visual impairments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create a supportive and adaptive classroom environment conducive to learning for visually impaired students.
- Collaborate with other educational professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to each student's education.
- Utilize appropriate instructional materials and technology to enhance learning experiences.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.

Interview Specifics:
- Applicants will go through an informal prescreening process with recruiters at ProCare Therapy to ensure qualifications are met.
- Applicants will be interviewed by the school or district department lead. The interview is typically a 30 minute Zoom call.
- The school/district may request a second interview where the applicant comes to campus.
- In conjunction with the school/district, ProCare Therapy will offer qualified candidates the position and begin the onboarding process.
