Job Description
As a Mill Machinist, you will be responsible for operating various machines, including grinders, lathes, mills, surface grinders, and utilizing both power and hand tools. You will also be involved in creating drawings from written notes or through reverse engineering, as well as calibrating tools and machines, adhering to torquing procedures, and following standard repair procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate grinders, lathes, mills, and surface grinders.
- Utilize power and hand tools effectively.
- Create technical drawings from notes or through reverse engineering.
- Calibrate tools and machinery accurately.
- Follow torquing procedures and standard repair protocols.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in reading blueprints.
- Experience with mill operations.
- Basic math skills.
- Experience as a machinist.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with Solidworks, CAD, or CAM.
- Strong blueprint reading abilities.

Work Environment
Work in a large production facility with 500 employees, known for being exceptionally clean for a wood production site. The environment is temperature-controlled, focusing on the production of cabinets and doors. The standard shift is Monday through Friday, from 6 am to 2:30 pm.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
