Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems in commercial buildings.
  • Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers, diagnose problems, and perform repairs or replacements using various tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to plan installations and ensure all work adheres to local and national electrical codes.
  • Use testing devices and critical thinking to identify and solve electrical problems effectively.
  • Journeyman electricians will help to train and guide apprentices in the proper installation and repair of electrical systems.
  • Journeyman electricians keep detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed.

Requirements:

  • TDLR Journeyman Electrician License and OSHA 30 certified
  • 5 years of experience on commercial electrical projects
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • May be required to work overtime, nights, and weekends
  • Bilingual is strongly preferred.
