Controls Engineer | Norton Shores, MI
Salary Range: $84,000 - $129,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Norton Shores seeking Controls Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test control systems for manufacturing processes.
- Program PLCs, HMIs, and industrial robots for automated production lines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and software issues in control systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new equipment and process improvements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for control systems and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations for all control systems.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000 preferred) and HMI development.
- Proven experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP).
- Strong understanding of robotics and motion control systems (e.g., ABB, KUKA, FANUC).
- Experience with vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence) and their integration into control architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues in a manufacturing environment.
