Serves as the first point of contact, ensuring a seamless patient experience through courteous greeting, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative support.
- Greet patients and visitors.
- Check in patients for their appointments on EMR system.
- Collects copays and balances according to protocols.
- Updates all insurance information and demographics.
- Informs staff of any changes to schedule or patient insurance.
- Schedule appointments for patients according to the appointment types.
- Type out the Doctor's schedule for the next day, ensuring its accuracy with EMR.
- Make sure all fee tickets are ready for the next day by verifying insurance eligibilities on all scheduled patients.
- Total the count of money obtained for windows.
- Ensure the daily fee tickets are completed and accounted for before turning in to billing at the end of the day.
- Responsible for the readiness of the reception area, and ensures the front desk activities are fully operational at the start of business hour.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
