Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years paraprofessional or special education experience required.

Location: Winnetka, IL North Chicago Area
School Year: 20252026
Schedule: Monday Friday | 35 hours per week
Hours: Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch and two unpaid 15-minute breaks
Note: Any hours worked over 35/week must be pre-approved. Unapproved overtime will not be paid.

Role Overview:

Winnetka Public Schools is seeking dedicated Paraprofessionals to join their educational team for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time, school-based role involves supporting classroom teachers, assisting students (including 1:1 when needed), and contributing to a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. Positions available across elementary and middle school campuses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional and behavioral support in classroom settings

• Work 1:1 with students as needed

• Support teachers with classroom management and organization

• Assist students with classroom tasks and transitions

• Provide toileting support when required

Qualifications:

• Required: Illinois Paraprofessional Certification

• Preferred: Experience assisting with toileting and working in school settings

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Comfort working with elementary and middle school students in dynamic environments
