Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) — Outpatient Hand Therapy & Industrial Rehabilitation

Silver Spring, MD | Full-Time | Workers’ Compensation & Orthopedic Practice

We are seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) to join our growing outpatient clinic in Silver Spring, MD. This position focuses on hand therapy, upper-extremity orthopedic rehabilitation, industrial rehabilitation, and functional capacity evaluations (FCEs) within a workers’ compensation and personal injury population.

This role is well-suited for clinicians who value functional outcomes, return-to-work rehabilitation, and collaborative team-based care. Both experienced therapists and strong new graduates with interest in outpatient orthopedics and work-related injury management are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with upper-extremity and hand conditions, including post-operative and work-related injuries
  • Provide outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation focused on functional and occupational performance
  • Participate in industrial rehabilitation programs, including work conditioning and work hardening
  • Assist with and progress toward administering Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs); training provided
  • Develop individualized treatment plans, track progress, and adjust interventions based on functional goals
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation

Qualifications

Required:

  • Licensed (or license-eligible) Occupational Therapist in the state of Maryland
  • Interest in outpatient orthopedics, hand therapy, and functional rehabilitation
  • Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and documentation skills

Preferred:

  • Experience in outpatient orthopedic, workers’ compensation, or industrial rehabilitation settings
  • Interest in functional capacity evaluation and return-to-work assessment
  • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking)
