Position Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator supports the daily functions of the Human Resources department, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations. This role ensures HR processes are executed efficiently and in accordance with company policies and applicable employment laws.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years in a human resources role

  • Satisfy all required background checks and comply with the company's drug free workplace policy
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems (ADP preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Be able to travel to various program locations and work a flexible schedule

Essential Duties and Functions:

Includes the following as well as other duties as assigned by the supervisor:

  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment including job postings, screenings, interviews, and background checks
  • Assist in new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a positive employee experience
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including licensure, certifications, and training compliance
  • Assist with HR compliance related to Medicaid, insurance providers, and school district contracts
  • Track employee credentials and notify staff and supervisors of upcoming expirations
  • Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and open enrollment coordination
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Assist with employee relations matters and help facilitate positive workplace communication
  • Collaborate with managers to provide guidance throughout the disciplinary process, ensuring that all corrective actions are documented accurately, comply with legal standards, and align with company policies
  • Support training, performance evaluations, and employee development initiatives
  • Partner with payroll to support accurate and timely processing of new hires, pay changes, and benefits enrollment
  • Participate in audits and reporting as needed

Professional Growth & Development:

  • Complete Basic Orientation and attend additional in-service training as recommended
  • Set and achieve performance and development goals as scheduled through the Annual Employee Assessment and Semi-yearly Review process

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not include any supervisory duties or direct reports.

  • Must be physically present at the assigned job location
