Scottsdale-based ANDERSON Advertising & Public Relations is seeking a Director of Account Strategy to join our team. We are an upbeat group of problem solvers who genuinely enjoy working together and believe our best work comes from true collaboration.

As the agency’s Director of Account Strategy, you will serve as a strategic leader and the North Star for our accounts, driving innovation, collaboration, and growth beyond the boundaries of client services. You will guide the account services team, cultivate deep client partnerships, and co-pilot the agency’s direction alongside the Creative Director and executive leadership.

Core Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to key clients, driving strategic direction and innovative solutions
  • Lead strategy workshops, planning sessions, and the creation of actionable, results-oriented plans
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing, collaborative account services team
  • Provide coaching, professional development, and career-path planning for team members
  • Collaborate with agency leadership to forecast revenue, manage profitability, and optimize team utilization
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders across creative, digital, PR, media, and strategy disciplines
  • Contribute to agency-wide operational planning, innovation initiatives, and strategic decisions
  • Serve as a culture champion, embodying ANDERSON’s values and fostering an inclusive, high-energy environment
  • Support acquisition and onboarding of new talent while nurturing a high-retention environment
  • Translate data and insights into strategic recommendations to strengthen client relationships and agency growth

Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in marketing, advertising, or communications, preferably in an agency environment
  • Proven success leading strategic client relationships and driving measurable growth
  • Expertise in multi-channel, integrated marketing including digital, traditional, and innovative platforms
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies and analytics, including AI-powered tools for insight generation and performance optimization
  • Excellent business acumen including revenue forecasting, resource management, and profitability analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and inspire teams to deliver exceptional work
  • Exceptional collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Alignment with ANDERSON’s values of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and positivity
  • Prior experience with financial services, hospitality, packaged goods, and non-profit clients is a plus
