About the Role
We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as a Mold Prep Technician. In this role, you will perform essential operations required to build high-quality ceramic shell molds that encase wax sprue assemblies for the investment casting process. This position is critical to ensuring product quality, process efficiency, and safety throughout mold preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all safety requirements and job safety procedures
- Receive and complete daily assignments from department leadership
- Perform foundry operations including:
- Autoclave processing
- Patch and dip procedures
- Burnout operations
- Visually inspect ceramic shells for process deficiencies or potential scrap issues
- Monitor machinery for maintenance concerns and report issues promptly
- Accurately maintain labor records, logs, and production documentation
- Enter required production and process data into company software systems
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Attend and complete required safety and compliance training, including:
- Hazardous material/waste handling
- Proper lifting techniques
- Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Support additional departmental duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing/foundry environment
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Comfortable working in extremely high-heat environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials regularly
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work safely around high-temperature equipment and industrial machinery
