Role Overview: The inbound operations Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end management of merchandise purchase orders and our 3pl warehouse. This role ensures the timely and accurate flow of purchasing activities, vendor compliance, smooth coordination with 3PL warehouses, and alignment with internal accounting processes. The Procurement Specialist will be an essential link between suppliers, warehouses, and internal teams to maintain efficient supply chain operations.This is a full time, fully remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Management & Compliance

  • Ensure suppliers meet company requirements for delivery timelines, order accuracy, and compliance standards.
  • Monitor vendor performance and follow up on delivery schedules to ensure on-time arrival of goods.

Packaging Procurement

  • Manage the complete procurement cycle for the company's packaging needs from planning and sourcing to ordering and delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels and proactively plan for replenishment to avoid stockouts based on forecasted demand

3PL Warehouse Coordination & Issue Resolution

  • Collaborate with 3PL (third-party logistics) warehouses on the receipt and inbound processing of purchase orders.
  • Act as a point of contact to resolve any discrepancies, including shortages, overages, or other variances between ordered and received quantities.
  • Document and track resolution of variances to maintain accurate records and accountability.

Accounting Coordination

  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure supplier invoices match purchase orders and receiving documentation.
  • Support invoice approval processes by providing necessary documentation and clarifications.

Key Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field
    • 3+ years of experience in procurement, supply chian, or purchasing roles
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing/inventory management software.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
    • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    • Passion for fishing with an advanced knowledge of fishing lures and various techniques based on species, seasonality, and application.

Reporting Structure: The Procurement Specialist will report to the Vice President of Product and work closely with the Operations team to drive the company’s growth strategy.
