Position Summary
The College of Business invites applications for an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Marketing to teach undergraduate marketing courses. This position supports the Business Administration program and requires a faculty member committed to academic excellence, ethical instruction, and student engagement.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to teach foundational and upper-level marketing courses while integrating contemporary topics, including artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, into marketing strategy and decision-making.
This is a 100% in-person instructional position.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in areas such as marketing principles, consumer behavior, digital marketing, strategic marketing, marketing research, and international marketing.
- Incorporate current trends, data analytics, and artificial intelligence applications in marketing where appropriate.
- Emphasize ethical decision-making, professional responsibility, and integrity in marketing practice.
• Maintain regular and accessible office hours (virtual or in-person as assigned).
• Provide academic support and mentorship to students.
• Submit grades and required academic documentation in a timely manner.
- Participate in course assessment and continuous improvement efforts consistent with ACBSP standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. or DBA in Marketing, or a closely related business discipline with appropriate graduate coursework in Marketing, from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Marketing from an accredited institution.
- Professional experience in marketing, branding, analytics, digital marketing, AI-driven marketing, or related areas preferred.
- Demonstrated potential for effective undergraduate teaching.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching at the college or university level.
- Familiarity with marketing analytics tools. AI applications in marketing, or digital marketing platforms.
- Commitment to mentoring students and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Summary of Full-time Faculty Member Duties and Job Requirements
Academic Advising
Faculty members serve as student academic advisors and are expected to meet with each assigned student advisee.
Environment
Faculty members work in classrooms, offices, labs, and related venues to accomplish educational and research activities.
Meetings
Each faculty member is expected to attend and participate in the program, school, college, assigned committee, and General Assembly meetings.
Office Hours
Each faculty member must schedule six (6) office hours per week. Faculty members schedule their own office hours.
Other Duties as Assigned
A faculty member may be assigned additional duties at the discretion of the Program Coordinator, School Chair, College Dean, or Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Physical Requirements
Communicate with students, staff, and colleagues. Read academic texts and materials, student papers, etc. Operate a personal computer and audio-visual equipment. Stand or sit for up to one to three hours at a time. Fly or drive to off-site meetings or conferences. Move around campus for classes and meetings. Other requirements as specified by a job description.
Scholarly Activity
Faculty member is expected to stay current in his/her field.
Teaching
Faculty members are assigned twelve hours each semester. Faculty members are expected to prepare for and meet their teaching responsibilities for every class.
University/Community Service
Faculty member participates in activities relating to university programs, courses, governance, etc., or community activities that impact on, or are impacted by, the University and which contribute to the growth and development of the student, the University and the community.
