Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with a valid Michigan SLP-CCC certification is needed to serve the K-12 student population in a school district located in Peck, MI. This full-time, contract position runs from August 25, 2025, through June 4, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess speech and language skills of students across all K-12 grade levels.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET) meetings and Individualized Education Program Team (IEPT) meetings.
- Develop and present clear, comprehensive written evaluation reports to parents/guardians and the local educational agency (LEA).
- Provide ongoing consultation to teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success.
- Collaborate closely with educators, principals, and ancillary personnel to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and interventions.
- Complete necessary Medicaid billing and other reporting tasks as required.
- Work within the LEA framework while receiving supervision from qualified personnel such as a paraprofessional or other designated staff.
Qualifications:
- Michigan SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) is required.
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting.
- Ability to conduct assessments, write reports, and facilitate meetings.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with families and school teams.
