Data Scientist

Data Scientist, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (Up to 100% telecommuting permitted): Develop AI solutions to address client business problems by leveraging data science expertise and strong business acumen. Develop ingestion scripts for aggregating and analyzing large quantities of data by building custom data flow pipelines and data processing modules. Create and use advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics such as regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, and neural networks. Design and implement AI-powered solutions - leveraging Generative and Agentic AI - to enhance automation, optimize decision processes, and uncover new opportunities for innovation and business value. Perform exploratory data analysis on structured and unstructured data from client and external sources to uncover business insights. Design and develop advanced analytical solutions using state-of-the-art analytical tools and services. Analyze and interpret data conclusions using programming languages such as R and Python to enhance outcomes with advanced modeling and optimization techniques. Present analytical findings through visualizations that highlight key business insights. Document and communicate analysis results to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and other deliverables. Identify client business challenges and recommend analytical approaches that can be packaged into solutions to drive company revenue. Utilize: R, Python, SQL, Torch, MATLAB, SPSS, TensorFlow, NumPy. Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Sciences/Technology, Management Information Systems, Data Science or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Data Scientist, Engineer or related.
