- Job Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required. One to two years of experience in a medical office is preferred; formal medical assistant training and certification are a plus. Candidates should have experience performing patient triage, taking vital signs, assisting with physician exams and procedures, administering medications, providing patient education, coordinating diagnostic testing and pre-authorizations, maintaining accurate medical records, and supporting general back-office operations. Knowledge of HMO insurance plans is required. Familiarity with Athena EMR, CPT coding, and ICD-10 coding is preferred. Strong communication, computer, typing, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
