SALARY RANGE: $78K - $82K, Full-Time, Exempt

ABOUT OUR HOTEL

  • 4th largest hotel in Seattle. 557 rooms, 28,000 sq. ft of meeting space
  • Stable operation – hotel has never been sold
  • Never closed during the pandemic even though about 30 other hotels in Seattle were closed for more than 1 year
  • Although we had to lay-off 90% of our staff at the beginning of the pandemic, we brought the majority of them back. Our people are very loyal to the hotel & were waiting for our call to return.
  • Hotel review rating on Marriott website is higher than other Seattle Marriott full-service sister hotels including W-Hotel, Westin, Marriott, Sheraton

JOB SUMMARY

  • You are an HR Pro and know what happens in HR. A lot. You are in charge of the full-cycle recruitment process.
  • What does it take? Let’s see how many tasks we come up with; this list includes, but is not limited to the following:
    • Recruit, screen, interview, perform reference, background checks and driver eligibility when needed. Coordinate department interviews for hourly and salary candidates, manage and maintain the applicant flow logs and onboarding process. Ensure quality hires and compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations, generate offer letters, and enter new employee data. Manage the full-cycle employment process from recruitment to hiring, and track and maintain all recruitment and onboarding records
    • Position the hotel as the “preferred employer” in the area, by maintaining strong community relations and performing outreach with referral agencies to manage and maintain strong applicant flow
    • Manage and maintain total rewards/benefit processes and programs
    • Manage leave programs/FMLA
    • Manage Worker's Compensation
    • Serve as backup in the absence of the Director of Human Resources and Human Resources Coordinator
    • Assist with other duties and projects as-needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
    • 3+ years progressive experience in Human Resources, with high-level, full-cycle recruitment and Talent Acquisition
    • Computer skills essential. ADP experience preferred.
    • Hospitality related field a BIG plus!
    • Multi-lingual a BIG plus! What languages? You name it, we probably got it.
    • PHR/SPHR a plus!
