Job Description

Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Tarzana, CA, United States
Shift: Day Shift – 5x8 Hours (08:00 AM – 05:00 PM)
Duration: 26-Week Assignment
Start Date: 01/26/2026
EMR/Charting System: EPIC

Travel Pay Package

  • Hourly Pay (W2): $47/hr
  • Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,920
  • Total Weekly Gross Pay: $3,800/week

Position Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures in an outpatient clinical setting. This role includes preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating nuclear imaging equipment, and ensuring patient safety while delivering high-quality diagnostic images. This position is well-suited for both experienced technologists and new graduates seeking travel opportunities.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures as ordered by physicians
  • Prepare, calculate, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely
  • Operate gamma cameras, SPECT, PET, and related imaging equipment
  • Perform radionuclide imaging procedures following established protocols
  • Monitor patients during exams and provide education and reassurance
  • Maintain strict compliance with radiation safety standards and regulations
  • Accurately document procedures and patient data in EPIC
  • Perform routine quality control checks on imaging equipment
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care

Requirements

Experience:

  • New Graduates Accepted
  • First-time travelers accepted

Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • CNMT (NMTCB) or ARRT (N)

Licensure:

  • License must be in hand within 4 weeks of submission
