The Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board (FRWDB) is a Joint Powers Authority between the City and County of Fresno, with a business led model to help local organizations meet their workforce needs.


We are currently seeking an experienced and engaging Workshop Facilitator to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Associate Deputy Director, this role will be primarily responsible for facilitating workshops, orientations, and other presentations for both small and large audiences. The Workshop Facilitator will also provide support to the development and delivery of programmatic workshops in line with the offerings of the FRWDB.


Essential Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Facilitate program workshops on key job search topics, such as, job readiness, resume writing, interviewing skills, networking, internet usage, personal finance and other topics that enhance job search abilities and success of participants while seeking employment
  • Ensure workshop materials are current and available electronically or in hard-copy format depending on method of instruction (in person or virtual)
  • Organize, attend and/or participate in special events and promotions including: one-stop information sessions, job fairs, community events, off-site/virtual information sessions for outreach and recruiting
  • In conjunction with input from the Management Team and FRWDB, provide development of curriculum and presentation of material
  • Track and maintain Excel databases, creates Word documents and/or PowerPoint presentations and performs various administrative functions
  • Conduct WIOA Career Services Orientation
  • Create, update, and tracks participant participation in workshops and other WIOA services using Outlook and/or other workshop schedulers
  • Knowledgeable of and prepared for the presentation of CLCP and FRWDB workshops with appropriate materials
  • Contact local training providers to develop relationships to benefit CLCP participants


The ideal candidate will possess these qualifications:

  • 2+ years of related work experience in employment and training programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Administration or a closely related field.
  • Fluent speaking and writing in English required, bilingual abilities in Spanish preferred.
  • Valid California driver's license, personal vehicle insurance, and source of reliable transportation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations, including English Language Learners.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills including proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including grammar, spelling, and punctuation: ability to accurately proofread and edit a variety of documents.
  • Engaging presentation abilities across virtual and in-person settings.
