We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to become an integral part of our team! You will help coordinate incoming and outgoing shipment activities for the next 6-9 months while our current staff member is on a leave of absence. If you are looking for a short term position with full time hours Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 4:30 pm and Fridays from 8 am to 4 pm, let's talk!
Responsibilities:
• Order Fulfillment and Shipping - picking, packaging product, posting, and dropping off at mail store or assisting freight carriers
• Assemble cardboard containers to prepare for product packing, lining, and padding boxes as required
• Follow specialized shipment instructions based on customer requests
• Generate, prepare, and attach shipping labels to finished packaged items using appropriate transportation of products using UPS, FedEx, USPS, and other carriers
• Receiving Shipments - Check in new inventory, receive items in ZOHO, and label/sort items for either orders or stock
• Check materials to ensure that they match our purchase orders (quantities, sizes, colors, etc.) and note/communicate when problems are found
• Transport parts or items from one area of the facility to another
• Organize inventory, restock shelves, and keep the warehouse clean and hazard-free
• Perform other administrative duties, including quarterly inventory, projects, and other clerical duties.
Qualifications:
• Ability to handle physical workload including lifting up to 50 pounds and moving boxes up to 100 pounds on the ground and with 2 wheeled dollies
• Proficiency with computer and web-based systems including input, access, and modifying information or a willingness to learn new applications (e.g., PC-based tools, Microsoft applications, web-based applications)
• Applicants must be self-motivated, highly organized, deadline driven, and able to effectively prioritize competing tasks
• The ability to interact cooperatively and collaboratively with others as a team
• Attention to detail. Notices small differences clearly (e.g., letters, numbers, codes, colors, symbols, marks, labels, signs) and checks work thoroughly
