Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly organized Records Clerk to join our team in Midland, Texas. In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate records, both physical and digital, to support operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess attention to detail and have experience working in a fast-paced information management environment.
Responsibilities:
• Sort, categorize, and code records to ensure proper filing and organization.
• Create and maintain new files in accordance with established classification systems.
• Retrieve, compile, and deliver requested information and documentation promptly.
• Oversee an effective charge-out system to track file usage and circulation.
• Ensure accurate circulation records are maintained for both physical and electronic files.
• Process and transfer records to inactive storage based on established schedules.
• Handle the secure disposal of obsolete records in alignment with retention policies and procedures.
• Operate office equipment, including scanners, printers, and reprographics tools, to manage records efficiently.
• Organize and lift storage boxes weighing up to 50 lbs as part of record management tasks.• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional coursework in administrative management or IT is preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a records management or information environment is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and familiarity with handling department records, both physical and digital.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage paper and electronic filing systems.
• Experience using office equipment such as scanners, calculators, and printers.
• Ability to lift and manage storage boxes weighing between 35 to 50 lbs.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in record handling.
• Knowledge of retention policies and procedures for managing inactive and obsolete files.
