Reporting to the owner, the Bookeeper will maintain financial records, assume responsibility for managing the daily financial transactions, reconciling acounts and produce accurate financial reports to support our business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records and ledgers, including AP and GL
- Process invoices and payments
- Reconcile bank statememts and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Prepare payroll and payroll taxes. Provide documentation to auditors during annual audit.
- Assist rental manager in answering telephone and preparing receipts for rental posting as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of accounting experience gained within a similar role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) together with accouting software to include QuickBooks and Yardi Breeze (will train on Yardi Breeze)
- Good oral and comminication
- Some basic understanding of Spanish helpful, but not required.
- Deadline and detail-oriented
