Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate, nurturing, and dedicated Montessori Primary Teacher to create and maintain a prepared environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, and physical development of children ages 3–6. The ideal candidate will implement Montessori philosophy and methods while fostering independence, curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement Montessori curriculum aligned with Montessori philosophy and child development principles.
- Prepare and maintain a safe, organized, and engaging Montessori classroom environment.
- Guide children in practical life, sensorial, language, mathematics, cultural studies, and social-emotional learning activities.
- Observe, assess, and document each child’s progress and development.
- Support children in developing independence, concentration, problem-solving skills, and self-discipline.
- Maintain accurate student records, portfolios, and progress reports.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student development, classroom activities, and concerns.
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences and participate in school events and meetings.
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Ensure classroom compliance with state licensing requirements and school policies.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities while maintaining a safe environment.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and administration to support classroom operations.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and ongoing Montessori training.
Qualifications:
- Montessori Primary Certification (AMI, AMS, MACTE-accredited, or equivalent) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience teaching in a Montessori Primary classroom (ages 3–6).
- Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and child-centered learning approaches.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to meet state licensing and background check requirements.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit on the floor, bend, kneel, and lift up to 30 pounds as needed.

Schedule:
- Full-time
- Monday–Friday
- Hours: 8:00am - 4:00 pm
