Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical unit day shift position requiring a MO or compact RN license and Epic EMR experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a Medical Surgical unit within a short term acute care hospital
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 to 19:30
- Patient ratios are typically 1:5-6
- Weekend requirement is every third weekend rotation
- Floating required to Progress West and other units within scope, including surgical and telemetry units
- Epic is the charting system used and experience is required
- No on-call responsibilities for this position
- Patient population includes general medical and surgical cases
- Preferred skills include administering chemotherapy and charge nurse experience
- First time travelers are accepted for this role
- Some initial orientation will occur on weekdays only
- Light gray or silver scrubs are required for this unit
- Free parking is available on site
- All standard travelers can remain up to 18 months, with a mandatory 3 month break after
- Completion of pre-start modules is required prior to the assignment
- No medical marijuana cards are accepted for this position

- Active MO or compact RN license required for consideration
- BCLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience is required
- Epic EMR experience required
- No candidates residing within a 75-mile radius will be considered
- Permanent former employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Must be able to complete fit testing; proper facial hair grooming required
- No more than 7 days of requested time off per 13 week contract, with no time off allowed the first week
