Job DescriptionWe are adding a full-time M&A Analyst at our Columbus headquarters responsible for assisting with the execution of client service work emanating from buy-side and sell-side client engagements, all in support of the firm’s mission and strategic goals. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and research potential acquisition targets for buy-side engagements or buyers for sell-side engagements
- Outbound calling and mail/email outreach to drive targets and buyers to an introductory call about our client and potential transaction
- Provide support to multiple deal teams and their members
- Respond to all client inquiries in a timely manner with a sense of urgency
- Organize large amounts of data and transaction documents, utilizing data rooms, acquisition trackers, spreadsheets, etc.
- Create marketing materials including confidential information memoranda, pitch books, etc.
- Conduct corporate/industry/market research
- Spread financial statements, integrate into models, and perform valuations as required and with oversight
- Provide training and task guidance to interns as required
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree required, with a major in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or other related field preferred
- 1-3 years of applicable M&A, consulting, audit, or financial experience
- Goal-oriented, self-motivated and works with a sense of urgency
- Ability to communicate effectively (including by phone) and to quickly build trust and rapport
- Ability to work comfortably with all levels, both within the firm and with clients/prospects
- Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and successfully work under tight deadlines
- Possesses a curiosity and willingness to learn
- Excellent team player
- Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint required, with the ability to quickly learn company-specific software
