Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time special education teaching opportunity is available in Aurora, CO, focused on supporting elementary students with affective needs, including severe emotional and behavioral challenges. This onsite role runs through June 4, 2026, providing dedicated support within an engaging school environment. The position offers a stable schedule from Tuesday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support tailored to elementary students with severe emotional and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective intervention plans.
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to promote academic and emotional growth.
- Maintain clear communication with families and staff to support student success.
- Ensure compliance with state education guidelines and individualized education program (IEP) requirements.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDE Special Education Generalist license is mandatory.
- Experience working with elementary students with affective needs or emotional/behavioral disabilities.
- Strong classroom management skills and a compassionate approach to student support.
- Ability to work onsite and collaborate effectively with school personnel and families.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
