Senior Supply Chain Manager

Full Time 40 hours/week

$65,000-$70,000

Job Summary

The Senior Supply Chain Manager leads and optimizes logistics, transportation, and fleet maintenance operations that support True North Goodwill’s retail stores and donation centers. With direct oversight of the Supply Chain Manager, this role ensures the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of donated goods while maintaining fleet assets that support mission-critical operations. This position plays a key role in maximizing retail performance and mission impact.

What you’ll be doing as Senior Supply Chain Manager

  • Provide direct leadership, coaching, and performance management to the Transportation Manager.
  • Oversee transportation operations supporting donation collection, processing, and retail store replenishment.
  • Direct maintenance activities to ensure fleet vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant.
  • Partner with Retail Operations, Donation Services, Warehouse, and Facilities teams to ensure consistent product flow and operational readiness.
  • Monitor and improve KPIs including on-time delivery, route efficiency, fleet utilization, vehicle uptime, and cost performance.
  • Develop and manage logistics and transportation budgets with a focus on stewardship of donated resources.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, service levels, safety, and sustainability.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies.
  • Oversee fleet safety programs, inspections, incident response, and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Prepare and present logistics and transportation, performance reports, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in retail, nonprofit, distribution, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Experience with TMS, fleet maintenance systems, routing software, and ERP systems.
  • 8+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or fleet operations.
  • Proven experience managing leaders and teams, including Transportation functions.
  • Strong understanding of transportation operations, routing, fleet maintenance, and multi-location retail support.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, analyzing operational data, and driving improvements.

Working Conditions

  • Combination of office and field-based work, including visits to stores, donation centers, maintenance facilities, and transportation hubs.
  • Occasional travel within the service area and flexibility to address time-sensitive operational needs.

Physical Requirements

These work environment factors are general CONSTANT: Stand and near vision. FREQUENT: Bend neck; talk/speak; and visual accommodation. OCCASIONAL: Medium work, lift and carry up to 50 pounds; rotate neck, static neck position; walk; hear within 5 feet and midrange vision.
