Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team in Old Hickory, Tennessee. In this role, you will oversee a variety of human resources functions, ensuring effective implementation of policies and fostering a productive and positive work environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Manage recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees to ensure a seamless hiring process.
• Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring employees receive accurate and timely information.
• Provide guidance to employees and supervisors on workplace policies, procedures, and resolving employee concerns.
• Conduct investigations into employee relations matters and recommend appropriate actions to address issues.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regularly reviewing and updating policies as necessary.
• Support the administration of leave programs, including short-term and long-term disability, workers’ compensation, and other time-off policies.
• Facilitate new employee orientations and benefits onboarding to integrate employees into the organization effectively.
• Maintain accurate and organized HR records, including I-9 documentation and employment eligibility verification.
• Collaborate with managers to develop and update job descriptions that meet organizational needs.
• Assist in the coordination of performance management processes to ensure constructive and timely evaluations.• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build effective relationships.
• Solid knowledge of HR practices, including recruitment, benefits administration, and employee relations.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Applicant Tracking Systems such as iCIMS.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in HR processes.
• Certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP is strongly preferred.
