Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. This contract role offers the opportunity to deliver specialized instruction and support in a collaborative educational setting near Pauline, SC. You’ll work closely with a diverse student caseload (to be determined), helping each learner reach their full potential.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
Active South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) teaching license in a recognized special education area (such as Learning Disabilities, Multi-categorical, or Emotional Disabilities).
Previous experience in a school-based special education environment is highly valued.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to adapt instruction for varied learner needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals.
Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to support a range of learning needs.
Monitor student progress through assessments and record-keeping.
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to foster an inclusive, supportive classroom.
Maintain compliance with all district and state regulations related to special education.
Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school activities as required.

Position Details:

Contract runs from August 4, 2026, through May 27, 2027 (following the district calendar).
37.5 hours per week, with schedule aligned to the school day.
Caseload details provided upon assignment.
