Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. This contract role offers the opportunity to deliver specialized instruction and support in a collaborative educational setting near Pauline, SC. You’ll work closely with a diverse student caseload (to be determined), helping each learner reach their full potential.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Active South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) teaching license in a recognized special education area (such as Learning Disabilities, Multi-categorical, or Emotional Disabilities).
- Previous experience in a school-based special education environment is highly valued.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt instruction for varied learner needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals.
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to support a range of learning needs.
- Monitor student progress through assessments and record-keeping.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to foster an inclusive, supportive classroom.
- Maintain compliance with all district and state regulations related to special education.
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school activities as required.
Position Details:
- Contract runs from August 4, 2026, through May 27, 2027 (following the district calendar).
- 37.5 hours per week, with schedule aligned to the school day.
