Position: Dietician
Pay Rate: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
Schedule: 3 days a week (flexible days Monday–Friday, between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Location: Will travel to various Juvenile Correctional facilities across the state (State vehicle provided)

Start Requirement:

• Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License

• Must remain eligible to operate a state vehicle

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee reimbursable meals program through the Ohio Department of Education

• Provide ServSafe-certified training for all food service workers

• Conduct regular audits (e.g., snack, breakfast, lunch, IMA, menu)

• Advocate on behalf of food service managers with Ohio Buys and suppliers regarding issues and deliveries

• Develop and maintain standardized menus and conduct quarterly youth surveys across all facilities

• Coordinate with medical staff on dietary needs and restrictions (e.g., allergies)

• Respond to dietary consults directly with youth in person across all locations

Travel: Required—must be comfortable traveling to juvenile facilities throughout Ohio using a state vehicle

Ideal Candidate:
A retired Dietician from a school district would be an excellent fit for this position

Requirements:

• Current licensure as a Dietitian issued by the Ohio Board of Dietetics (per Section 4759.06 of the Ohio Revised Code)

• At least 9 months of training or experience in state and federal dietary/nutrition guidelines and accreditation standards

• At least 9 months of training or experience in public relations

• At least 9 months of training or experience in employee training and development
