As we continue to expand our offerings and enter new markets, we are looking for a strategic, data-driven, and collaborative Category Manager to help shape the future of our product portfolio.


About the Role:

Reporting to the SVP Marketing and Growth, the Category Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our furniture assortment strategy. This individual will be responsible for leading category planning, supporting new product development and launches, and managing the overall performance of the program. The role requires strong analytical thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and a deep understanding of consumer and market trends in the furniture industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Assortment Strategy & Category Planning

  • Develop and execute category strategies aligned with company goals and market dynamics.
  • Analyze sales, margin, and performance data to inform assortment decisions and identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Build business cases for product introductions, end-of-life decisions, and line expansions or contractions.
  • Partner with internal teams on pricing, positioning, and lifecycle management.

New Product Development & Launches

  • Provide category-level insights to inform product design briefs and development roadmaps.
  • Work with marketing and eCommerce teams to ensure successful product launches and positioning across all sales channels.

Program Performance & Optimization

  • Track and report on category KPIs including revenue, margin, inventory health, and product performance.
  • Collaborate on promotional planning and seasonal merchandising efforts to maximize category performance.
  • Recommend ongoing improvements based on performance analysis and customer feedback.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience in category management, merchandising, or product management—ideally in furniture or home goods.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in using data to drive decisions (Excel, Tableau, or similar tools).
  • Deep understanding of eCommerce and multichannel retail environments.
  • Exposure to new product development and launch processes.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration, communication, and project management skills.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for home furnishings and consumer trends.
